Chris Porter

Reception & Accounts Administrator

Originating from Gisborne, Chris made the transition to Blenheim more than two decades ago, establishing herself as an integral part of the local community. Her professional journey has encompassed a wide array of roles, including a stint as a hairstylist, owner of a business, an olive propagator and pruner, and a tractor driver.  Chris can also back a trailer – a skill she is very proud of! During Chris’s career she has also taken on responsibilities ranging from management and accounts roles to reception duties within various local businesses.

For the past two years, Chris has had the privilege of standing alongside the dedicated team at Hospice Marlborough, offering unwavering support to the community during one of life’s most emotionally challenging phases as our reception and accounts administrator.

Whether completing accounts or donation inquiries, stationed at our front desk, or serving as the reassuring voice on the other end of the phone, Chris takes great pride in facilitating seamless communication and directing inquiries, and is the friendly face that greets all our visitors, patients, and whānau to Hospice Marlborough.
