Hospice Awareness Week Bucket Appeal
13 May 2024 @ 8:30 am - 19 May 2024 @ 12:00 pm
Join Us in Making a Difference this Hospice Awareness Week 13-19 May 2024
Welcome to our Hospice Marlborough bucket appeal – where every small act of kindness will help create a ripple of support!
Hospice Marlborough is privileged to provide specialist palliative care services across Marlborough through our dedicated and highly skilled team, meeting the needs of our community through a holistic wrap around service of care. We support and educate patients, whānau and our partners and support people through illness, death, and bereavement, ensuring patients, their whānau and their carers receive empathetic quality care.
The services of Hospice Marlborough are free to our community and as a charitable organisation we receive just over 50% funding from Te Whatu Ora. As a result, any funding shortfall needs to be fundraised for annually. We could not continue to provide the level and quality of care services we do without our hospice shops, fundraising activities and ongoing support and generosity of our community.
During Hospice Awareness Week our wonderful Hospice Marlborough Volunteer Ambassadors will be collecting donations at the following locations:
- Monday 13 May – Mariners Mall, Picton (8.30am-4pm)
- Tuesday 14 May – New World Blenheim (8.30am-6pm)
- Wednesday 15 May – Countdown Springlands (8.30am-6pm)
- Thursday 16 May – Countdown CBD Blenheim (8.30am-6pm)
- Sunday 19 May – Famers Market (9am-12pm)
With each donation dropped into our buckets, we’re not just collecting coins; we’re gathering compassion, generosity, and the collective will, to make a difference in the lives of others facing a life-limiting illness.
Whether you can spare a little or a lot, your generosity is appreciated. Together, we can achieve more for our community, enabling our dedicated team to continue providing our services across all of Marlborough, without charge.
Thank you for helping us to help others.
