We are looking for Registered Nurses to join the inpatient/community nursing team:
- A Registered Nurse for a permanent part time 0.8 FTE and
- A casual Registered Nurse

ABOUT YOU
Our successful applicant will have:
- NZ Nursing Council Registration and current Annual Practising Certificate
- Palliative care experience (desirable, but not essential)
- A genuine interest in and desire to further develop in palliative care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability, and a calm, mature attitude
- Current NZ Drivers Licence
As a Registered Nurse, you will work in the interdisciplinary team and take pride in delivering holistic palliative care to patients and whānau. You will provide symptom and pain management and end-of-life care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and at different stages of their disease trajectory. These services are provided across several care settings, in a person’s own home or place of residence, or in the hospice inpatient unit.

Volunteer with Hospice Marlborough.
We’re always interested in hearing from people who would like to volunteer with us. If you are interested in learning about becoming a volunteer at Hospice Marlborough, a role that’s both meaningful and enriching, we’d love to hear from you.
We welcome volunteers in various key service areas, including Clinical Services, Community Care, Events & Fundraising, our Hospice Shops, Administration & Reception and Ancillary Services (i.e., flower arrangement, catering, massage, art, photography, and more).

We’re seeking a dedicated volunteer to help with Furniture collection/delivery for our Hospice Shops
- Must be fit and strong to help with furniture collection from people’s homes/businesses locally in Blenheim. Working alongside another volunteer.
- Own transport NOT required as there is use of a Hospice Vehicle. Clean driving License a must.
- This is a casual role as and when there are larger items of furniture requiring collection or delivery.

This volunteer role provides a therapeutic service by working with patients and whānau through our referral, to gather information from interviews and research in order to accurately describe important life events through story telling.
Requirements:
- Gathering information from interviews & research to accurately describe important life events.
- Ability to compose a compelling & accurate account of an individual’s life.
- Comfortable being in situations where you can relate to a wide range of people who may be experiencing significant personal loss and grief.
- Any information heard, observed, or obtained during visits remain confidential and stored securely.
- Friendly and approachable.
- Specialist training will be provided for this role and ongoing support.
Time commitment:
- Flexible
A Ministry of Justice background check will be required.
