Kia orana. As part of the senior leadership team at Hospice Marlborough, Leigh oversees events & fundraising, business donations & partnership, community engagement and marketing.
Leigh joined the Hospice Marlborough team in July 2023 and is an energetic professional with expertise in sales & marketing, leadership, partnerships, strategy, and event & project management. Originally from Auckland and proud of her multi-cultural background of Cook Island, French Polynesian, Scottish and Irish descent, Leigh’s career journey has spanned a range of industries and roles, such as sales & marketing, corporate affairs & sustainable communities, financial literacy, and media & advertising. Leigh has also held leadership roles across multiple organisations such as Auckland Zoo, BNZ, GO Holidays, Helloworld and more recently TSM Marlborough. She has run her own PR consultancy, had the privilege of providing consulting and advisory services to various sectors, including council, government offices and community groups and with over three decades of experience within the international travel sector, she has also operated her own business in retail travel.
A devoted dog mum and animal lover, Leigh moved to Marlborough in 2016 with her husband to enjoy the wonderful lifestyle Marlborough has to offer and is supercharged by creating, stretching the mind with new ideas, collaborating with others and hopes to leave a little sparkle wherever she goes.
Having had friends and relatives receive Hospice care, most recently her father, Leigh feels privileged to have the incredible opportunity to represent Hospice Marlborough and is committed to the mission of elevating awareness and facilitating funding opportunities that enable the delivery of high-quality specialist palliative care services across Marlborough.
