At Hospice Marlborough, we are dedicated to providing high-quality specialist palliative care that meets the evolving needs of our community, and we want to sincerely thank everyone who recently participated in our care surveys.
Our Hospice team believe that listening to the voices of our patients, their whānau, and their carers is vital to ensuring that their preferences are respected and that the care they receive is tailored to their unique needs.
Your feedback not only allows us to identify areas for improvement, but it also helps us uphold our duty of care – legally, morally, and ethically. Our commitment is to provide the necessary support and compassion, while also minimising the chances of any unexpected issues during your time with us.
We are humbled to share a few heartfelt comments from this year’s survey:
- “Treated very well by all staff. Thank you so much for all the care you provided my mother. I am sure it made the end of her journey easier for her family.”
- “Talked about our spiritual needs and explained what it meant to us.”
- “We were fully informed and advised.”
- A loved one advised “She was so grateful for the empathy and gentle reassurances through the most difficult time in her life. Her eventual death was incredibly peaceful, for which my family and I will always be grateful.”
- “Your staff were so kind and careful each time they visited our home. Many grateful thanks to all the staff.”
These thoughtful comments reflect the compassionate care we strive to provide every day.
To help us continue improving our services and meeting the evolving needs of our community, we invite anyone who has received care or supported a loved one under our care to share their feedback. Visit the Your Voice section on our website to complete the Hospice Marlborough Care and Post Care Survey.
Your voice matters and plays a crucial role in helping us deliver the best care possible.
